Most people would agree that being a women, especially a mother, and keeping physically fit is a big challenge for many women. This is why there are many workout programs made specifically with women in mind to lose weight and do so in a short time span. Some of the best of these workouts are toning workouts for women which build muscle while burning fat.

You don’t need to spend hours in the gym for an effective workout either. Many people are still under the impression that you have to do spend at least an hour every day to get and maintain the body you want. Bottom line is if it were as easy as just lifting weights every guy that touched a weight would look like a body builder and most supplement companies would be out of business.

What strength training will do for women is shape and define the muscles, show off her curves in all the right places, help avoid osteoporosis, burn fat and improve your overall strength for anything you may be doing. Lifting weights is also great for posture and will help slow the aging process.

Now you may not be a big fan of lifting weights, some people love it, some hate it and some are in between. The good news is there are plenty of workouts for women that incorporate strength training without the traditional weight routines your used to seeing. Some are very popular TV advertised programs like P90X or Insanity. These programs get great results because they are incorporating some resistance training.
