If you feel a sudden drop in blood sugar, this can make you feel weak and light headed, which can trigger an attack. A good defense against this is to always carry around a candy bar or a box of juice. Just knowing you have it can help.

Of course, there are many root causes of panic attacks, and until you feel you have a complete handle on them, it’s best to follow your doctors advice. But when they come, just sit down, force yourself to relax, breath deeply and slowly, and close your eyes. This should help you to survive your next attack.
