How Glutamine Might Help You

Are you getting run-down, after your workout? Instead of feeling stronger, you feel weak. You could be eating the wrong foods and missing the supplement Glutamine. You can feel better and continue your training.

What is Glutamine?

Glutamine is one of twenty amino acids, recognized in the body. It is not an essential amino acid. Glutamine is used for body building and to treat gastrointestinal disorders. Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the bloodstream.

What is Glutamine Utilised For?

Glutamine is used for body building and with other intensive physical workouts. In the medical field, Glutamine is used up for:

a) Recovery for Surgery – the supplement is applied to aid in the recovery process by assisting with healing and overall health,

b) Aid the Digestive System by helping the body become more regular. The supplement is utilised to quicken the internal healing process,

c) Recover From Illness – to strengthen and rejuvenate your body and to speed up the healing process.

Glutamine is a supplement with many uses. A supplement that works!

Where Might You Acquire Glutamine?

Glutamine may be found in animals like beef, pork and poultry. The animal protein contains Glutamine. By eating more beef and chicken, you may obtain more of the supplement.

Glutamine can also be found in vegetables like Spinach, parsley and cabbage. By eating vegetables, you are not adding fat to your diet. Try to eat the darker vegetables, as they hold more nutrients.

How Should You Take Glutamine?

The glutamine Supplement should be taken cold, as heat can destroy the supplement. You can take the supplement with water, cold milk, or with a protein shake.

You can effectively get the Glutamine from cold (uncooked) broccoli. Many times, cold broccoli is used in salads. A cold salad may be all you need to get the supplement.

Are There Any Side Effects?

Too much Glutamine isn’t good for the body either. The side effects include:

1. Bloating – feels like your stomach is getting bigger. Your waist has just grown another inch or two.

2. Constipation – Your system shuts down, even though your eating is regular. You haven’t had the urge to go.

If you have these side effects, just reduce the amount of Glutamine you are taking. You won’t need the supplement, if you are eating the right foods.

Who Should Not Use The Supplement?

You should not consume the supplement, if you have:

1. Any Liver or Kidney diseases,

2. A Bipolar Disorder – one minute you are up and the next minute you are down,

3. Your Allergic To It – your body doesn’t take the supplement well, and

4. You are Pregnant – you shouldn’t be doing an intensive workout, anyway.

When Should You Consume Glutamine?

You can take Glutamine supplements either after your workout or before bedtime. These times are when the supplement is most effective.

Glutamine is a very safe supplement. You can almost ingest it anytime. You could want to watch, how your body reacts to the supplements.

You Might Include Better Workouts, Too!

If you are feeling tired or weak, after your workout, you may need the Glutamine supplement. You can get Glutamine as a supplement or consume Glutamine with meat and vegetables. Watch for any side-effects; but overall, the supplement is very safe.
