More and more people are becoming unhealthy. This is because they are following kind of lifestyle that affects their physical and mental well being. That’s why there are a lot of products and diets plans coming out today, but the truth is only an handful of these products and practices really work. In the quest to maintain a healthy and happy life, what are the things that should by done by an average person? In this article, we will discuss some proven and effective healthy habits that can guarantee a person to stay healthy.

The truth of the matter is, there is no complex formula of staying healthy. And as much as possible don’t use any supplements or enroll in any exercise or diet plans because they can cost a lot money. Here are some of the proven healthy habits that everyone should know:

1)Eat a balance diet – as a human being, it is basically our natural tendency to be hungry and eat. But let’s put in mind that we need to balance the food intake in order to be fit. A typical balanced meal must consist of the following: A cup of rice, which is a good source of carbohydrates to give us energy for the day; a portion of vegetables, to provide the needed vitamins and minerals for the body; a slice of meat (mathcbox size) which provides our daily protein requirement for the building up of muscles; and a glass of milk, which can be a good source of calcium to maintain the strength of our teeth and bones. As much as possible everyone should at least have one meal like this every single day. Aside from that, we should alway put in mind that an average person should only have 2000 calories of food intake per day. This should be carefully monitored so as not to exceed in the calories which will be converted into fats.

2)Excercise regularly – As we all know, we should also maintain an active lifestyle in order to be healthy. Don’t be a couch potato. Engage on some physical activities such as jogging early in the morning, finding some time to go to the gym, or be involved in your favorite sports. Sweating helps a lot in burning excess fats and it will also moisturize the skin at the same time.

3)Avoid getting into vices – This is one of the healthy habits that most of us are neglecting. Smoking and drinking can be enticing at times, especially when your with you friends. But are we aware that smoking decreases your chances of getting old? Studies have shown that for every puff of smoke a person will take, he/she will risk the chance of getting into the age of 60! Aside from that, smoking not only causes lung cancer and other respiratory problems, but it can also cause bad breath and the yellowing of the teeth. As for drinking, having a shot or two of alcohol is ok because our body also needs it. The moment we engage ourselves into excessive drinking, that’s the time we’ll be having health issues.

4)Have a postive outlook in life – little do we know, being happy can also make us into a healthy person. This is because some hormones in our brain will activate our body, making it lively and healthy. So be happy always.

In conclusion, being healthy is a choice for every individual. By following these healthy habits mentioned, rest assured that one can maintain a healthy body for the rest of his/her life.
